Overview
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of the full 44-residue growth hormone–releasing hormone, stabilised by a trans-3-hexenoyl group attached to its N-terminal tyrosine.
The hexenoyl group shields the N-terminus from dipeptidyl peptidase-4, the enzyme that otherwise cleaves native GHRH, while the 44 residues themselves are the human sequence. That makes tesamorelin the longest of the GHRH-receptor peptides in the catalog, against the 29-residue sermorelin and CJC-1295.
